Leveraging over 20 years of experience as an Art Consultant and Gallery Owner in the world of contemporary art, Linda has cultivated a broad and longstanding client list, ranging from private collectors to corporations to convention groups. With access to a vast network of opportunities, she has found herself in a unique position to develop and maintain successful relationships with an extensive list of galleries, artists and dealers across North America and the art centers of the world.
As former owner of the boutique-style ArtSmart Gallery, Linda specialized in contemporary, abstract, and realistic works on paper and canvas, as well as photography - focusing on emerging and established artists. She was able to educate and inform clients about the many aspects of today's art market.
She also has launched many artists who have gone on to pursue successful careers with representation in many fine collections and museums.
Art Tours:
Linda built a business around clients requesting specific pieces for their collections. A natural next step was to create tours to galleries and artists' studios, which she facilitated by launching Art Tours West. Excursions were tailored to match the collectors' vision. Art Tours West was the kernel upon which the consultancy and ownership of ArtSmart Gallery were formed.
Educator:
Parallel to consultancy, Linda taught an Art Exploration course at the Dominican College in San Rafael, CA; was Curator of the Flights of Fancy exhibition at the Branson School Gallery in Ross, CA; and was featured as a Specialist on Art Collecting on KGO/ABC radio.
Public Relations:
BA, English and Journalism, University of Washington, Seattle, WA
Advanced Study, Christie's Graduate Program, New York, NY (focus of curriculum included study of works of art in all media by visiting Christie's salesrooms, museums, galleries, private collections, conservation labs, and artists' studios)
Advanced Study, Long Island University, Southampton, NY
